Payslip details
Estimated payslip for reference. Actual figures depend on your company's salary structure and tax category.
Fill It In, Print the PDF
The preview updates as you type, so what you see in the panel is exactly what the PDF will contain.
- 1
Add the company and employee
Company name and address, then the employee's name, ID and designation, and the pay period. A slip a bank or landlord will accept has to say who issued it and for which month.
- 2
Enter earnings
Basic salary and each allowance on its own line. Splitting basic out is not cosmetic in Nepal: PF, CIT and SSF are all assessed on basic, so the split decides the deductions.
- 3
Pick the contribution system
PF + CIT or SSF, whichever the employer is enrolled in. The generator computes the employee contribution on basic and estimates TDS on the current slabs.
- 4
Download or print
Print to PDF from your browser. The slip is built locally, so nothing about the salary is uploaded or stored anywhere.
What a Nepali Salary Slip Looks Like
A monthly gross of NPR 50,000 on a 60% basic structure, under PF + CIT with a 10% CIT contribution. These figures are calculated by the same engine the generator uses.
| Section | Line item | NPR |
|---|---|---|
| Earnings | Basic salary (60% of gross) | 30,000 |
| Earnings | Allowance | 20,000 |
| Earnings | Gross pay | 50,000 |
| Deductions | Provident Fund, employee 10% of basic | 3,000 |
| Deductions | CIT, 10% of basic | 3,000 |
| Deductions | TDS withheld this month | 440 |
| Net | Net pay | 43,560 |
| Employer | Provident Fund, employer 10% of basic | 3,000 |
| Employer | Total cost of employment | 53,000 |
The employer rows are not deducted from the employee and never reduce net pay. Listing them separately shows the true cost of employment without confusing the take-home figure.
What a Nepali Salary Slip Must Show
Six blocks, in this order. The generator lays them out the same way, so the slip you download matches the format described here.
Employer and employee identity
Company name and address, the employee's name, ID and designation, and the pay period. A slip a bank or landlord will accept has to say who issued it and for which month.
Earnings
Basic salary and each allowance on its own line (dearness, transport, housing and any others), then gross pay as their total. Splitting basic out matters in Nepal because PF, CIT and SSF are all calculated on basic, not on gross.
Statutory deductions
Either PF at 10% of basic with the employee's CIT contribution, or SSF at 11% of basic where the employer is enrolled in the scheme. The two systems are alternatives, so a slip shows one of them, not both.
Tax withheld (TDS)
Income tax deducted at source for the month, computed on the IRD slabs for the current BS fiscal year. From FY 2083/84 one unified slab table applies to every resident natural person.
Net pay
Gross earnings minus total deductions, in NPR, and ideally in words as well. This is the figure the employee checks first and the one a loan application is assessed on.
Employer contributions, shown separately
The employer's own 10% PF or 20% SSF is not deducted from the employee, so it never reduces net pay. Listing it separately shows the true cost of employment without confusing the take-home figure.
Payslips That Arrive Without Anyone Making Them
Filling this form in once is fine. Doing it for forty people every month is not. In NepalHRM the payslip is a by-product of the payroll run rather than a separate job.
- Every payslip is produced by the pay run, with PF, CIT, SSF and TDS already calculated per employee.
- Employees open their own salary history and download any month's PDF themselves.
- Payslips are bilingual, Nepali and English, and reach staff on the mobile app.
- The salary sheet and eTDS reports come from the same run, so the figures agree by construction.

Payslips, Made Simple
Yes, completely free and with no sign-up. Fill in the details, preview the payslip live, and download or print it as a PDF from your browser.
A clear payslip shows the company and employee details, the pay period, earnings (basic plus allowances), statutory deductions (PF and CIT, or SSF), TDS, and net pay. This generator lays all of them out in the standard format.
Yes. Enter the gross and choose the contribution system, and the generator computes PF/CIT or SSF on basic and estimates TDS on Nepal's tax slabs, then fills in the deductions and net pay automatically.
No. The payslip is generated entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server, and the PDF is created locally when you print.
This tool makes one payslip at a time. Generating them for every employee every month, with real PF, CIT, SSF and eTDS figures and delivery to each employee, is what the full NepalHRM platform does. Companies with up to 10 employees use it free.
